Assigning a Host to a Cluster

You can assign virtual hosts to a cluster. To assign a virtual host to a cluster:

  1. Go to Inventory > Virtual Devices > Virtual Devices and Clusters. IT Asset Management displays the Virtual Devices and Clusters page.
  2. Select the cluster record and click Open. You may have to click the + icon to expand the parent cluster record. IT Asset Management displays the Cluster Properties page.
  3. Click the Hosts tab and click Search. IT Asset Management displays a list of virtual hosts.
  4. Select the desired virtual host record and click Add hosts.
    • IT Asset Management assigns the selected host to the cluster.

When you assign a virtual host to a cluster, all virtual machines hosted by the host are also assigned to the cluster.
